We are expanding our Scottish operations and seeking a motivated individual to join us in a dual-role trainee position.
Role Overview:
The Trainee Fire Door Inspector & Fire Extinguisher Engineer will support both companies by assisting in the inspection, testing, and maintenance.
Full training and qualifications will be provided.
This role involves regular travel across Scotland and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
Fire Door Inspection:
- Fire door surveys.
- Learn to identify defects, compliance issues, and required remedial works.
- Use the QuidVis digital tools and company systems to capture inspection data.
Fire Extinguisher Engineering:
- Assist with servicing, maintaining and installing portable fire extinguishers.
- Learn to conduct refills, pressure tests and compliance tagging.
- Gain knowledge of BS 5306 and relevant fire safety standards.
- Help maintain accurate service and compliance documentation.
- Use of hand tools and hand drill
General Duties:
- Represent QuidVis Risk and E-Fire professionally at all client sites.
- Maintain tools, equipment, PPE, and company vehicle to high standards.
- Follow all health and safety procedures meticulously.
- Support wider fire safety projects as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Scotland.
- Practical mindset with strong willingness to learn.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Desirable Skills:
- Basic understanding of compliance or building safety.
- Comfortable using mobile apps/tablets for reporting.
- Use of tools and hand drill
