Senior Fire & Security Engineer – Scotland

Service and maintain fire, intruder, CCTV and access control systems, working in accordance with the current standards. Senior engineer to assist the Department supervisor and Service Manager in delivering exceptional performance, Motivation and excellent customer service. Providing a high level of Field technical expertise across all Fire/Intruder/CCTV and Access control system both conventional and IP based systems

Key Purpose of the Job:

Service and maintain fire, intruder, CCTV and access control systems, working in accordance with the current standards. Senior engineer to assist the Department supervisor and Service Manager in delivering exceptional performance, Motivation and excellent customer service. Providing a high level of Field technical expertise across all Fire/Intruder/CCTV and Access control system both conventional and IP based systems

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Effective communication between Kings Security, Customers and the service manager as well as the area supervisor
  • Working within a team covering a geographical area (Scotland)
  • Ensure customer queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership to respective teams.
  • Site project management as required.
  • To assist the teams in case of sickness, leave or resource problems.
  • Carry out field-based mentoring.
  • Assist with technical queries from teams.
  • Assist the Schedulers with mobilisation and planning.
  • Ensure team working practices are maintained to a high standard at all times
  • Attend regional and Head Office meetings as required.
  • To actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of fire and security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information
  • Any other reasonable requests from management
  • Implement and act in accordance with the organisation’s information security policies
  • Protect assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.
  • Implement particular security processes or activities, as requested by management.
  • Report security events or potential events or other security risks to the organisation
  • Support supervisor and service manager to build good team spirit and communications

Essential requirements for the job:

  • Candidate to have a minimum of 3 years experience across multiple disciplines including Intruder, fire, CCTV, Access Control.
  • Customer focused

Desirable requirements for the job:

  • Network/IP based product experience
  • Full Knowledge of Galaxy Panels/Max Readers
  • Previous experience within a senior position
  • GENT trained fire engineer
