Marketing & Bid Coordinator- Bradford

Key Purpose of the Job

Supporting the Marketing & Bid Manager and the Bid Writer by coordinating bid submissions and overall marketing of the company’s services across all areas of the business. Key Job Responsibilities:


  • Brief and liaise with external agencies, to produce creative and compelling advertising, PR and promotional campaigns
  • Plan and deliver events, promotions and service initiatives, to achieve marketing objectives in line with the overall strategy
  • Managing social media accounts
  • Continually evaluate all marketing campaigns and activities to ensure they remain within budget and can demonstrate a return on investment
  • Support applications for various business awards
  • Establish and maintain a centralised archive of presentations, spreadsheets, marketing materials and communications that is accessible to internal departments


  • Support the bid writing process by producing high quality, written proposals that clearly articulate the organisations’ value proposition
  • Identifying relevant opportunities within target market sectors
  • Aiding in the development of business plans across all Kings sales teams
  • Analysing opportunities and agreeing methods of increasing Kings potential success pre-bid
  • Submitting PQQ’s in a professional manner, continuously analysing and improving Kings success rate
  • Agreeing a Timeline plan on each bid with Key Stage Actions involving all concerned personnel
  • Developing and maintaining library of documentation relevant to bids through liaison with other departments, i.e.: Finance, Compliance, and Engineering
  • Develop a library of updated and relevant case Studies suitable for each target sector
  • Working from various databases, Cash for Windows, Web based programs, MS Office
  • Maintenance and development of the customer and prospect database (CRM system)


  • Any other reasonable requests from management
  • The post holder will ensure the health, safety and welfare of themselves and their team in accordance with the Kings Policy
  • The post holder will understand the regulatory, fair trading and competition rules relating to their work sufficiently to be able to comply with them, relying on their own knowledge or on their ability to recognise that they will need specialist support
  • To actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information
  • Implement and act in accordance with the organisations information security policies
  • Protect assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference
  • Implement particular security processes or activities, as requested by management
  • Report security events or potential events or other security risks to the organisation

Essential requirements for the job:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Desktop Publishing)
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines and supporting colleagues to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret information, data and research
  • Possess a creative flair combined with commercial writing skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Able to take responsibility and initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Team worker, confident in dealing with people of all levels

Desirable requirements for the job:

  • Experience of the tender process and key terminology
  • Experience in Marketing environment
  • Experience within security industry
