Bid Writer (6 months FTC)

Key Purpose of the Job

The primary objective of the role is to assist with the successful delivery of the tender process from pre-tender stage to post-tender negotiations, in order to secure new business for Kings Secure Technologies.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • End-to-end delivery of complex and high value tenders and frameworks including PQQ and ITT stages
  • Research clients, draft responses, develop best practice
  • Communicate with appropriate operational staff to obtain relevant information/details to allow written solutions to be developed and considered
  • Challenge existing protocols and practices
  • Create assets and credentials
  • Arrange and chair bid review meetings with key stakeholders
  • Ensure that bid submission success is regularly measured and reported
  • Identify new opportunities for future business development
  • Maintain a central database of outstanding bids
  • Update and refresh the KST bid library
  • Apply client feedback to future responses to help drive continuous improvement
  • Any other ad hoc duties that may arise on a daily basis

Principal Accountabilities

  • Consider all issues and relevant information that is communicated when developing and completing written solutions
  • Deliver written responses for prequalification and tender submissions against agreed deadlines, in accordance with deliverables, escalating issues as required
  • Generate written responses that are completed to a high acceptable standard and are compliant, clear and customer focussed
  • Provide inputs to the ‘lessons learnt’ process from involvement with previous submissions

Desirable requirements for the job

  • Previous experience of working in the Fire & Security industry desirable
  • Proven experience of producing and editing written content for prequalification and tender submissions is essential
  • Experience of working in a team, participating in key review meetings
  • An understanding of operational and technical issues/considerations to allow the compilation of written solutions to support strategic bidding opportunities is desirable
