Earlier this week, it was announced that 38 businesses had been named on the shortlist for the Business Masters Awards — with 11 categories, and the winners being named at TheBusinessDesk.com event at New Dock Hall, Leeds on 17th March. Six companies; including Kings, have been shortlisted in more than one category. The two categories in which Kings are shortlisted are:
- Employer of the Year, sponsored by Investec Wealth & Investment; and
- Large Business of the Year.
The awards judging panel was chaired by TheBusinessDesk.com Yorkshire Editor Alex Turner. He was joined by CBI Regional Director Lucy Thornycroft, UKTI Regional Director Mark Robson, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Richard Wright, Mike Thornton from RSM and Steve Crow from Clarion.
Mr Turner said: “We had a record number of entries, and the judges had nearly 150 entries to assess. It was a task made much harder by the quality and variety of those entries which meant that many strong and successful companies didn’t make the shortlist.
“The businesses on the shortlist have all proven they are outstanding and we should be proud of them.”
The award ceremony will be held on Thursday 17th March 2016 at New Dock Hall in Leeds and hosted by BBC presenter, Dan Walker.
