A team of fifty nine of our staff are taking on the Skipton Tough Mudder on 6th August 2016, to raise funds for our nominated charity; Martin House Children’s Hospice.
We have supported the hospice for more than four years and last year we raised an impressive £6,500, when a twenty three strong team undertook a 127 mile bike ride along the path of the Liverpool to Leeds canal.
But, this year the ‘Kings Conquerors’ are hoping to top that by taking on their toughest challenge yet; the Tough Mudder, in an attempt to raise over £11,000.
The team will be led by our CEO Anthony King. He said: “Tough Mudder epitomises everything we stand for at Kings Security. It’s not just about running speed and fitness; the key to completing this event is to use team work to overcome challenging obstacles and help each other throughout the course, so I’m sure we’ll do well because team work is at the heart of everything we do at Kings.”
The company is supporting the staff taking part in the event by covering the entry costs, with all team members committing to raise at least £200 each to achieve the charity total.
Anthony added: “We’re all looking forward to taking on the Tough Mudder challenge, and to raising as much money as we can for a fantastic charity that really makes a huge difference to families, by providing vital care and support during some of the most challenging times in their lives.”
