Kings Enhances Site Security for Construction Contractor, Keeping Staff and Assets Safe
A forward-thinking Principal Contractor approached Kings Secure Technologies for the latest in innovative security solutions to keep its staff and assets safe and secure.
The customer employed onsite security personnel on a permanent basis; 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The company asked Kings to investigate a solution that would incorporate the use of technology so that they may become less reliant on security personnel, but that would still give them peace of mind that their head office location was adequately protected.
Kings proposed to install a new remote monitored CCTV system, new remote monitored intruder alarm system and to also link the existing fire alarm system to the remote monitoring; protecting the customer from fires which might occur out of hours. A new 16 camera IP CCTV system was installed to replace the existing analogue CCTV system; monitoring and protecting the perimeter of each building using state-of-the-art analytics. The CCTV system is remotely monitored by Kings’ own Technology Centre.
A new grade 2 intruder alarm system was installed to protect the internal perimeter of each building. The system consisted of dual technology detectors, door contacts, internal / external sounders. An Emizon IP / GPRS device was installed to allow the system, and the existing fire alarm to be remotely monitored via the Kings Technology Centre.
The customer wanted an additional layer of protection due to the open site nature of its facility, so Kings suggested that the site has two random patrols per night via the Kings Security Personnel division to add an extra layer of security.
Procurement Manager for the customer said ‘We take the security and safety of our staff and assets very seriously. We wanted to enhance our security using more innovative solutions, giving us greater peace of mind whilst reducing our overall costs. The solution proposed by Kings has certainly done that.’
