This is a Charitable Organisation providing education and health services to members of the security professional community.
It’s Charitable Trust supports many worthwhile causes including the Security Benevolent Fund. The Company is also a proud supporter of The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, Magical Taxi Run to Disneyland Paris each Year for children with life threatening illnesses.
The Guild of Security Professionals was first formed in 1999 and created as a working Guild in 2000. 2004 saw its progression to a Company without Livery and in 2008 it became the 108th Livery Company of the City of London.
In 2010 the Company received a Great Seal to the Worshipful Company’s Charter. As part of its Royal Charter work started to establish a Chartered Security Professional Scheme. The scheme which is managed by the Security Institute, admitted the first 10 Chartered Security Professionals in 2011.
Admitted to membership of the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals in December 2010 both Anthony and Steve attended the Freedom Ceremony at Drapers’ Hall in London on the 7 June 2011 where they were installed as Freeman. The Ceremony began with the Installation of the new Master Nigel Churton MBE, who is also Company Secretary of The Security Institute and has served on its Board of Directors for many years. This was followed by the Admission of Freemen and the Clothing of Liverymen. The Ceremonies were concluded with the Master’s Installation Luncheon.
